Mobile Klean has been running out of stock, fast. But is it really worth the hype? I’ve lived my entire life being a germaphobe, and since having my two kids, it’s gotten even worse. Phone soap – Have you ever even heard of this before? Using the same principles of UV-C, phone soap is a box for your phone that blasts the bacteria and germs, leaving your phone clean and ready to use. This works as well as Mobile Klean, but there’s three issues I have with it. First, it’s VERY expensive (some retailing over $150), second, it is only used for phones, and third, it takes much longer to use than the Mobile Klean (10 minutes).

Antibacterial wipes – Antibacterial wipes may work better if you’re trying to get stains out or wiping a big surface area like a countertop but using this on your phone or laptop isn’t ideal because it can’t always reach into every nook and cranny. And they are not the most economically friendly choice either. The wipes end up in the landfill and could take up to 100 years to decompose.

Antibacterial sprays – This is probably one of the worst things to use on your devices and the easiest way to ruin them! It’s not necessarily the antibacterial cleanser that will destroy your phone or laptop, but it’s the pressure from the spray. This will get into your microphone, the earpiece, and in between the letters on your keyboard.

So, what is the best way to clean phones and laptops?

When I first got the device, I thought maybe it was a Mobile Klean scam, but after using it for months now, everything is cleaner and safer, especially my children’s belongings.

1. Open the wand and hold the UV-C light approximately 6 inches over the area you want to clean.
2. Hold the wand over the area for about 20 seconds allowing to kill the unwanted bacteria and killing their DNA.
