If you’re looking to heat up your home on a budget, the Blaux Heatcore may be perfect for you. Keep reading to decide…

It’s about that time of year again. My wardrobe is slowly adding in more layers and I’ve been starting to sleep with thicker blankets than usual. With winter just around the corner, I’ve been debating whether or not it’s time to upgrade my central heating system or find a cheaper, more affordable option that works just as well.

I did some research and found many reviews on a personal heater called Blaux Heatcore. But how do I know if the Blaux Heatcore is right for me?

What exactly is the Blaux Heatcore?

Blaux Heatcore is a portable, personal heater that warms any room without the expensive monthly bills. According to Blaux Heatcore reviews, this personal device covers more areas and works much faster than other heaters.

Blaux Heater Specs:

  • Adjustable thermostat
  • 250 sq.ft coverage
  • Energy efficient
  • Portable easy to carry
  • Stays cool to the touch
  • Safe to use indoor such as office, bedroom, bathroom, living room, etc
  • Safety tip-over auto shut off protection
  • Overheat protection to shut off automatically
  • 350 watt heating power
  • Compact and modern design

One thing’s for sure, I like the modern design on this thing and it even comes in black or white to match better with the aesthetic you’re going for. Though it’s known as the Blaux Heater, it’s more often referred to as the Blaux Heatcore because maybe that just sounds better.

At one point, you couldn’t find this heater anywhere outside of the manufacturer’s website but now it’s listed on Amazon, including its little brother, the Blast Mini Heater. For 250 sq.ft. of coverage, the Blaux Heatcore is a little bitty thing that happens to pack quite a punch.

It also raises the temperature in the room pretty quickly, so there is little doubting its overall efficiency. The Blaux Heatcore is marketed as a personal heater and I have found that it’s up to the task in that department—enough so that it’s a bit of overkill in a very small room or small apartment dwelling.

As a 1,200W heater, it’s a bit better than most in terms of energy savings (more on that later). Blaux was going for a compact design that could heat a fair-sized room without driving your energy bill through the roof. From what I can tell, they’ve largely succeeded.

The built-in eco-timer and multiple heat settings work as advertised, especially the timer since you don’t want this thing running all night unless you really need it. The outer shell is manufactured in ETL-approved ceramic and there is very little heat transfer from the ceramic heating mechanism to the outer shell, making it safe to touch even while it’s running.

It’s safety-rated with an automatic off-switch in case it tips over, overheating protection, and flame-resistant components. Along with the temperature settings, you have three modes—regular fan (no heat production), low heat, and high heat.

What about other portable electric heaters?

I’ve tried other portable heaters, and I haven’t had the best luck. So it’s hard not to believe this is just some kind of Blaux Heatcore Scam. Some other heaters I’ve tried are not hot enough, don’t cover much range, and one particular heater (I won’t mention the brand), was so hot I burned myself when I tried to move it.

It also had a big and hot exposed surface area which worried me a bit. It’s easy for a pet or child to accidentally touch it and hurt themselves. Honestly, however, there are a ton of heaters in this same weight class across the market.

While some may beat out the Blaux Heatcore in terms of their heating methods, it’s hard to find a heater this small, using a ceramic heating method, that can match the Blaux Heatcore. Most heaters this size come with a few caveats, including pet and children safety, slow to heat up, lacking in the antimicrobial department, or lacking an adjustable thermostat.

One of the biggest qualms with portable heaters is the energy costs. You can easily get caught up in a fairly large power bill if you are running them all day. Thanks to the eco-timer settings on the Blaux Heatcore, that doesn’t have to be an issue, unless you want it to be.

What I like about the heater is that you can adjust it when you need it to, so you’re capitalizing on the outside weather as it warms up throughout the day.

Is it time to go portable with the Blaux HeatCore plug-in?

I’ve thought about whether or not it’s time to get a portable space heater, but there were a few things I had to factor in.

  • Will the Blaux HeatCore heat any size room?
  • Will it actually cut down my electric bills?
  • And can I take it with me anywhere?

I finally decided to get my hands on one after reading some Blaux Heatcore reviews so I could test it out for myself. When I first tried to order one, they were all sold out.

I had to check back in a few days, and luckily, they were having a Massive Blowout Sale so I was able to get one.

If I’m satisfied with my results, I will definitely get more. The more you buy, the bigger the deal. There is also a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, so there’s no risk involved if I decide it’s not for me.

After my Blaux Heatcore arrived I was able to test it out and here are the results…

Blaux Heatcore Heats Up to 250 sq.ft. Room

I’m a light sleeper and I usually wake up in the middle of the night. Sometimes I’ll go to the kitchen or watch TV in another room, but it’s always so cold. The first night with the Blaux Heatcore, I woke up and made my way to the kitchen as usual, but I wasn’t freezing cold.

I placed the heater right at my door which is also close to the kitchen so it could get some airflow from the heater. The heater not only warmed my room but was able to heat the kitchen area as well. Even the kitchen floor tiles seemed warmer.

Of course, some of that has to do with the Blaux Heatcore’s exceptional ability to rapidly heat up a room, whether I’m dealing with my tiny guest bathroom or the master bedroom. The master bedroom is much closer to the maximum space requirements.

I was mildly surprised at its capabilities, even in large and more open spaces, where multiple rooms adjoin one another and exceed 250sq.ft. Not bad for this tiny little heater.

Blaux Heatcore Cut My Monthly Bills

After a month of using my Blaux Heatcore, I checked online where I am able to track my power usage, and my usage dropped drastically! When I was using the central heating to warm up my place, my bills were through the roof. I was starting to compromise my heat just to put some money back in my pockets.

Thanks to the eco-timer, I was able to effectively heat up my room, with the eco-timer making the overall hands-on operation a synch. Since the heater is so effective at heating rooms, it’s able to reach the set thermostat rapidly. Then I can just switch to the eco-timer and save a lot of energy from the peak of the day into the late afternoon.

If you want to save money on your power bill with the Blaux Heatcore, I suggest your use the eco-timer to your advantage. I found that it’s best to crank it up on max settings first thing in the morning (if you didn’t have it running throughout the night), knock the chill out of the room, and reach the thermostat setting.

After that, let the eco-timer do the rest. The temperature may trickle down slowly, but by this point, the day is warming up and the Blaux doesn’t have to work as hard.

Blaux Heatcore is Truly Portable

The problem with other portable heaters is that they’re heavy or too hot to move. Just as other Blaux Heatcore reviews mention, I was easily able to carry it from room to room. It’s lightweight, compact, fits almost anywhere, and cool to the touch. I also like the auto shut-off feature in case I’m in another room and I forget that I’ve left it on.

It’s portable enough that you can pack it up and take it with you as well, especially if you work in an office environment and want something to keep your toes warm or just to take it on vacation. I’m sure you have some of those relatives who like to set their thermostats to 68° in the dead of winter.

I especially like to take it with me on my vacations to Tennessee and Kentucky, where I have family. They are used to the cooler weather and keep their thermostats lower. I can set up my Blaux thermostat in my guest room and be warm in no time, all without killing their power bill.

The dimensions of the Blaux Portable Heater are 9.9” x 7.3” x 7.2” and it only weighs 2.9lbs. Despite its tiny size, it puts out a lot of heat while allowing you the freedom to place it just about anywhere. The Blaux is easy to set down anywhere you want in any room you want it in.

Blaux Heatcore Drawbacks

Although I really like the Blaux Heatcore, I did find a few flaws with it. The unit comes with an adjustable thermostat and I’d like to see a function where the temperature can drop with a timer. I think there are some heaters that can do this with an app, but those ones are up in the range of $400- $1200.

There is also no oscillating feature, something that’s often found on other heaters (again, on the more expensive side). But the Blaux is so effective, that you’re really not missing much. I’ve experienced this heater rolling the temperature up in a large room within the space of a few minutes. I can’t imagine that an oscillating effect wouldn’t have made much of a difference.

Other than that, it’s a great heater whether you live in a tiny apartment or open concept house.

How to Use Your Blaux Heatcore

Part of the beauty of the Blaux Heatcore is how easy it is to use. It’s essentially a plug-and-play device. All you need to do is plug it in the nearest outlet and you’re ready to go. When I first unboxed it, I was happy to see that the three buttons on the top were labeled, indicating their multiple functions.

The center button is the power button and it’s just a matter of pressing it while the heater is plugged in and it starts right up. If you are familiar with other space heaters on today’s market, you will find that there isn’t much to separate the Blaux from other heaters. Of course, that’s just in terms of functionality.

There are three buttons lined up horizontally on top of the heater. The left button controls whether you want just the fan, with no heat, a high level of heat, or a low level of heat. The button on the right flank of the power button controls the time.

Each press of the right button sets it to 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours. You can use the right button settings in combination with the fan settings on the left side as well. You don’t have to set the heater to a time frame if you don’t want to either.

If you press the button a fourth time, you just get heat for as long as you want the heater to work. If you don’t set a timer on it, the heater will run until you decide to turn it off. The timing is pretty accurate as well.

I set my iPhone timer for one hour and pressed the “start” button on my iPhone at the same time as the Blaux Portable Heater. I’m sure I didn’t get the timing completely perfect but I was probably only off by a nanosecond.

When the Blaux Heatcore turned off, my iPhone alarm was going off as well. I got the same result with the 2 and 3-hour settings as well, so it’s safe to say that the timer on the Blaux is fairly accurate and if you set it for three hours, three hours is what you will get.

Blaux Heatcore Pricing

If you go to the Bluax website, you can purchase the Blaux Heatcore through a series of reduced prices related to how many heaters you want to purchase. The more Blaux Heatcores you purchase in a single go, the less each one costs.

The shipping cost starts at $8.95 and goes up $1.00 for each, additional Blaux Heatcore you decide to purchase.

  • Single Blaux Heatcore – $89.99
  • Two Blaux Heatcores – $179.98
  • Three Blaux Heatcores – $202.48
  • Four Blaux Heatcores – $247.47

No matter what option you decide to go with, each Blaux Heatcore comes with a 30-day return policy, in case you change your mind. However, to return it inside of that three-day window, the heater has to be completely unused and returned in its original package.

Unfortunately, you’re stuck with the shipping and handling costs. According to the Blaux Heatcore terms and conditions, if you use the heater in any capacity, it is ineligible for a return. If you have any questions about your return, you can contact Blaux in one of three ways.

You can email them at support@blaux.com or contact them by calling their customer support service center at 1-844-846-5344 or 1-855-756-5448. While their customer service line is not a 24-hours a day, 7 days a week service, you can email them at any time.

The Bottom Line…

Blaux Heatcore is worth it. For a heater under $100, you get most of the same functions and features as a heater that will set you back over $1000. On their official website, you can find different packages that best suit your home.

Final Verdict

If you’re still on the fence about getting a Blaux Heatcore, you still have time to decide before it gets too cold to bear. But if you wait too long, you may miss out on some really Great Deals.

Compared to other personal heaters, this one is of the Best Quality for its Value. I wasn’t expecting much from it, but I’ve been using it for two months now and it keeps my place nice and toasty. My favorite feature about it is how fast it can heat up a room. This is especially useful after I come home from work and all I want to do is relax.
